5K Run...  making strides to cure brain tumors

The Angels Among Us 5K run is a competitive certified course professionally timed by Precision Race. Enjoy rolling hills as you run through the beautiful Duke campus, by the Duke Chapel and the Nasher Museum. It begins and ends at the main event on Flowers Drive and is guided by the Duke and Durham police. 

If you choose to walk the 5K route, please note the police can only block streets until the last 5K runner comes through (approximatedly 1 hour 15 minutes). At that time you will need to walk on sidewalks and obey traffic laws for pedestrian safety.

SCHEDULE - SATURDAY APRIL 327, 2024

We encourage you to arrive by 7-7:15am to ensure you have plenty of time for parking, check-in (if necessary) and get settled. Parking details/maps will be provided closer to event.

  7:00 am – 5K Run Registration Opens (for those not registered online)

  7:50 am – 5K Line Up – competitive runners, then recreational runners

  8:00 am – 5K Run Begins

  8:45 am – 5K Run Refreshments provided by Panera Bread and Fresh Point Produce

  9:00 am – 5K Run Awards

LOCATION: Corner of Erwin Road and Flowers Drive on the Duke Medical Center Campus

Bib pick-up is optional and only for 5K entrants. Walk of HOPE participants do not need a bib. Event shirts will only be available on race day.

Note: Pre-registration fees are non-refundable.

Register Online Online registration closes at midnight Thursday, April 25th. You may register at the event on April 30th.

Registration Form  to mail with your check made payable to Duke University-Angels. Be sure to put your team name on the memo line. 

Registration includes t-shirt, chip and official time for "competitive" runners and awards for eligible winners.
